In a frustrating afternoon, Cristiano was seen behaving madly by slapping and kicking Cordoba defender in Real Madrid’s 2-1 victory away at Cordoba.
However, the referees’ report only mentioned the kicking without making reference to a violent conduct of slapping, therefore he could escape lengthy ban after being sent off.
Ronaldo’s red card comes as a blow for Los Blancos as the teams were tied at 1-1, but Gareth Bale saved the day for Ancelotti’s men.
He is expected to miss the next game, but had the officials’ referred to a violent conduct, he would have been ruled out of the derby against Atletico.
