Harare, Zimbabwe. – A renowned Zimbabwean footballer and famous MDC activist Misheck Mburayi is on the run after police issued him a warrant of arrest for allegedly leading demonstrations against bond notes.
Mishek Mburayi is a strong MDC activist, a member of MDC Glen Norah district executive. Mishek lives at 2168 Glen Norah in Harare and is married with one child.
Before the warrant of arrest was issued, Mishek has been receiving life threatening messages on his mobile from unknown people regarding the violent demonstrations. Since then he has been in hiding from place to place as police detectives search for his life.
Last year police detectives from CID visited his residence with a warrant of arrest, upon discovering from his wife that he was not around the detectives threatened the wife that if he don’t come back the whole family would be in danger.
Mishek is being charged for mobilising youths who demonstrated against the introduction of bond notes in Glen Norah.
Mishek Mbirayi is a former football Striker for a variety of Clubs which include Lengthens FC-2009-10, Highlanders FC-2011, Zim National Team under 23, Motor Action FC-2012-13, Triangle FC-2013-14, Zim National Team, Harare city FC-2014 and Gunners FC-2015
