Zimbabwe. (News Of The South)- Fireworks are expected at Borrowdale Racecourse when ten horses battle for the Champion Juvenile (Grade 3) Race to be held on Sunday June 29.

The race is on at 16:15pm and will be run over a short distance of 1200m.

Several stables from all corners of the country have put their most promising juvenile horses to challenge for the top honours in this sprint event.

The accepted horses are yet to make a name for themselves, it would be interesting to see which stable will walk to the podium to claim the prize for being the home of the most promising 2 year old horse of 2014.

Juveniles to look out for in this race are Motivate Mambo, Autumn JA and Picalilly.

Motivate Mambo will be ridden by experienced jockey Gareth James Williams from the stable of Cornie Spies.

Drawn wide in lane eight this juvenile has competed seven times and won just once. Once off the blocks the field will come down striding to turf in this straight home race.

Another runner Autumn JA from the same yard of Cornie Spies and will be ridden by jockey Francois Naude.

From eight races Autumn has managed to win once and has been placed once. However, the race fitness and experience gained from all these competition will come in handy when push comes to shove provided the pilot plays his cards right on the day.

In the Champion Juvenile Stakes Race Autumn is drawn to the far left in lane 10.

According to statistics made available, the real deal is Picalilly ridden by Hennie Greyling.

This horse from the stable of Alyson Wright has a one hundred percent record so far. It has been to the racecourse three times and came out tops in all the races.

Picalillly is the future juvenile to keep track of, drawn closer to the right in lane three. This position could offer this juvenile with the advantage it needs to sprint away from rest of the pack.

However, in horse racing when the stall gates open anything can happen.

Young Antumn from the yard of Amy Bronkhors could spoil the party if this horse come to the party on race day. This runner has competed three time won once and has been placed twice.

In 2013 Luck Sam from the stable of Lisa Harris was the best juvenile horse.

There are nine other supporting races to be held on the day.
