Epworth Cllrs Statement on Court ruling.
Epworth Local Board Chairman Cllr Batanai Masunda and Epworth MDC Alliance Cllrs are fully behind The People’s President Advocate Nelson Chamisa despite the Supreme court ruling of 31 March 2020.
As MDC Alliance we contested 2018 polls and 2019 held our Congress in Gweru and Chose Advocate Chamisa to lead the party as it’s President. Over 2million voters elected MDC Alliance Candidate Nelson Chamisa to lead the country. We are very much aware of Zanu pf machinations and the abuse of the Judiciary to settle political goals.
Epworth Local Board Cllrs are not moved , even an inch , by the ruling as it is a testimony that enemies of The People’s Party are tirelessly working to destabilize The People’s Movement.
We are, and shall always be, behind President Chamisa as the legitimate President of The People’s Party.
Our Party leadership is chosen by The People for the People and we always respect the People’s will.
I urge Epworth residents to continue with the fight to stop the spread of Covid 19 during this Lockdown period and afterwards.
After The Lockdown we shall continue with the fight for Legitimacy , Mnangagwa stole The People’s Vote and the country must return to a legitimate government chosen by The People in July 2018.
