For months, I have been closely observing developments in the UK ,watching how the opposition and its allies have gained momentum through coordinated misinformation, staged outrage, and calculated public demonstrations. These actions, particularly those targeting our embassy, are not accidental ,they are deliberate attempts to tarnish the image of Zimbabwe on the international stage.

*What is more concerning is not just their activity, but our silence.* Where is the response from those who claim to be patriotic? Where is the visible defence of our nation? This absence raises an uncomfortable but necessary question: are we, in the UK, capable of matching the opposition in organisation, in visibility, and in conviction?

Engineer Makuku said the time for passive support is over. He has called on the diaspora to prove its worth not in words, but in action ,by defending Zimbabwe against false narratives and manufactured propaganda. He warned that the miscarriage of truth cannot be allowed to go unchallenged.

Patriotism is not a label. It is action.* Anyone can post messages from the comfort of their home. Anyone can claim loyalty while seated behind a screen. But watching your country being attacked, misrepresented, and undermined while doing nothing is not patriotism. It is passive surrender.

This moment demands more. I am calling on all Zimbabweans in the UK who believe in their country to rise above comfort and complacency. The false narratives spreading like wildfire must be confronted firmly, intelligently, and publicly.

If the opposition can organise demonstrations, so can we ,peaceful, disciplined, and focused demonstrations that show pride, unity, and support for our nation.

If they can petition UK government, so can we ,articulating our own perspective and defending the integrity of Zimbabwe.

We cannot continue to call ourselves patriots while remaining spectators.

This is the time to stand up.

This is the time to be seen.

This is the time to act.

I call on all patriotic individuals and groups to come together, organise, and define a clear path forward. Our voice must be heard not in whispers, but with clarity and conviction.

The comfort zone is over. The responsibility is now.
