Destiny For Africa Donates To Chikurubi Maximum Prison

Harare, Zimbabwe. (News of The South)-Destiny for Africa Network led by founder and President Rev Obadiah Musindo on Tuesday donated toiletries and fuel to Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison.
Both the donated toiletries(boxes of washing and bathing soap) and diesel were valued at $2000.
The handover of the goods was done by the organization’s managing director as well as the heads, representatives of charity department and associate pastors of the organisation.
Witnessing the occasion was Harare East legislator Honourable Terence Mukupe
Destiny Africa managing director said Destiny Africa would continue partnering with Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison.
The organisation also promised to assist the prison with food, material for uniforms and upgrade the water systems
“I have realised that it is easy to talk about love and sing about it, but practising love is a different thing”
“Most people talk about these aspects, but I am glad that we as Destiny for Africa Network by God’s grace and with vision our leader we are privileged to demonstrate such love,” said the managing director.
Pastor Manjoro who was part of the Destiny Africa delegation gave a message of encouragement to the prisoners.
“He said you should not lose hope or be discouraged. Take this time as an opportunity to develop your relationship with your creator and to develop yourself,” he said.
Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services Assistant Commissioner Norbert Chomurenga appreciated the role being played by Destiny Africa Network in assisting prisons.
“As Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service management, we appreciate and honour the role played by Destiny for Africa Network in assisting our organisation in the welfare of inmates”

“It is our expectation as an organisation for the community to have an influence to their incarcerated relatives and friends,” he said
Chikurubi Farm garden was not fully operational and the the organisation promised to assist in making it become more operational.
Honourable Terence Mukupe thanked Rev Musindo and his organization for responding to his plea and concerns of Chikurubi Maximum Prison.
