Zimbabwe : (News Of The South) – Job promotions in the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), is a quest at improving service delivery to Zimbabweans, National Police Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi has said.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa made some job promotions in the police force in Bulawayo and Matabeleland South provinces recently.
“The promotions are in line with the Zimbabwe Republic Police’s quest to improve service delivery to Zimbabweans,” said the police boss, without elaborating in the Herald, December 11 publcation.
Assistant Commissioner Nyathi also said that the promotions were in line with Government’s, “Vision 2030” programme.
Police Commissioner General Godwin Matanga also urged police officers to shun corruption, uphold morality and good ethical conduct, in a speech read in his absence by Assistant Commissioner John Simon.
“As such you are expected to remain forthright, exemplary, visionary, firm, fair and professional,” said Matanga.
Zimbabwe police are generally accused of mainly corruption and unprofessional conduct among other issues.
