Harare, Zimbabwe (News of The South) – A Kuwadzana man was taken to court over the weekend after he allegedly raped his girlfriend of one month at gunpoint.
The suspect, Emmanuel Tinotenda Mapondera, 24, was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Judith Taruvinga.
Emmanuel reportedly demanded sex form the girl but she refused, leading him to produce a gun threatening to shoot if she keeps on refusing.
The complainant then complied that Mapondera raped her four times without protection and after that, he took her three cellphones which were recovered from him.
With situations like this, it shows the world is no longer the same, boyfriends raping their girlfriends, nowhere is safe now.
Mapondera was remanded to appear in court on November 15.
