Zimbabwe Tourism Minister Prisca Hon Mupfumira Decorated At Berlin Travel Show

Malawi. (News of The South) – Zimbabwe`s Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister, Prisca Mupfumira has been awarded with the Institute of South Asian Woman Achiever (ISAW) and the Woman Achiever Award for her efforts in a number of development programs.
Mupfumira has been decorated with the Woman Achiever Award for her tireless efforts in women empowerment initiative in the faculty of education.
Apart from the individual awards Mupfumira scooped, the minister was also the recipient of the national awards which Zimbabwe won at the ongoing ITB Berlin travel show in Germany which has invited additional 28 from 15 exhibitors from all corners of the global village.
Apart from the business awards which were disbursed at the prestigious award gala ceremony dubbed the world`s leading travel show, Zimbabwe was also nominated for the two awards in the writing segments.

Commenting on the success story, the Tourism Business Council of Zimbabwe Chief Executive Officer, Paul Matamisa said the international tourism bourse opens a window for business connections and networking for industry players which can be translated into tangible business deals within the next few years.
“ITB is a must attend show foe the tourism industry by virtue of its magnitude, it is by and large the leading travel show in the world, so Zimbabwe stands to benefit immensely from networking professionals to give them an appreciation of what Zimbabwe`s tourism is offering,“ Matamisa said.
As one way of showing seriousness in the promotion of the tourism sector the Environment, Tourism and Hospitality minister, Prisca Mupfumira led the Zimbabwe delegation to the ITB 2019 which lasted for four days.
Time and again Mupfumira has been emphasizing that a lot of investments and development have been witnessed within the tourism industry as Zimbabwe continue to launch new products in response to the sharp rise in tourist arrivals.
The ITB whish is deemed the leading travel bourse in the world, attracts 187 countries, 1000 qualified top buyers, 10 000 exhibitors, 120 000 trade visitors, 26 000 convention visitors and more than160 000 private and public visitors alike.
