Harare, Zimbabwe (News Of The South) – The recently convened Beijing Summit on Belt and Road Initiative is likely to yield positive results on the country’s socio-economic transformations.
This has been revealed by the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Hon Monica Mustvangwa during cabinet briefing on her recent visit to China where she attended the Beijing Summit on the Belt and Road Initiative.
“The initiative is centred on the development of road, rail and seaport links as a means to facilitate trade and economic development.”
As the country is yet to attain the highly anticipated Vision 2030 and it has been perceived that the initiative will yield positive results to the country’s socio-economic road path.
“ This is set to benefit Zimbabwe’s thrust to become an upper middle income country as encapsulated under Vision 2030.”
