(News Of The South) – The second transfer widow for the current soccer season for football players was declared open by the ZIFA communications Manager Xolisani Gwesela on July 1.
According to the report released online by Zifa,clubs are urged to be fully conversant with the transfer rules and to take note of the fact that the FIFA Transfer Matching system is in operation in the country and administered by Timothy Mazhindu.
“The second player transfer window will be open until July 31. Clubs should also be aware that the Fifa Transfer Matching System is in full operation and this will speedily resolve any player issues,” Zifa Spokeperson Xolisani Gwesela revealed to the Association’s official website www.zifa.org.zw .
According to Annex 3.1 of the FIFA regulations, which govern the transfer and registration of players:
“All applications to register a professional must be submitted by the new club to the new association during one of the registration periods established by that Association”.
ZIFA posted on its website that while activity on the window is open to all Zifa affiliates, it will be more pronounced in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League where clubs like Dynamos, Highlanders, CAPS United, How Mine, Chicken Inn, Harare City and FC Platinum could be featuring prominently.
Following the movement of most Highlanders players to South Africa there will be need to fill the void they left behind by signing quality players.
Kuda Mahachi is reported to be at Monaco in France on trials so is Khumbulani Banda who is in South Africa on Trials.
Dynamos also lost the shot stopper, George Chigova to a South African ABSA Premier league Club. The Harare giant is expected be active in the market looking for a suitable replacement.
