Zimbabwe Covid-19 cases exceed 8 000, the health ministry says
Zimbabwe on Saturday recorded sixteen new cases of Covid-19, bringing the country’s total confirmed infections to 8,010, the Ministry of Health and Child Care has said. All 16 are all local cases

“Sixteen new cases and one death reported in the last 24 hours. Seven day rolling average for new cases goes down to 18 from 19 yesterday,” the health ministry said in its daily update. Results came out of 604 PCR tests conducted yesterday with positivity at 2.6%.
The number of people who have recovered from the virus increased by 18 to 6,492, leaving 1,288 active cases.
A total of 230 people, have succumbed to the virus so far.
