Zimbabwean Minister of Lands Perrence Shiri has died, it is just a few days ago that his driver was reported to have died from Covid -19. Norton Legislator Temba Mliswa announced the death via twitter. Mliswa’s message reads:
I’m gutted to just receive news that Rtd. Air Marshal, Hon. Perrence Shiri popularly known as “Gudo Guru” during the liberation war, is no more. A true nationalist & Commander par excellence, the late Shiri was one of the hard working & effective members of Cabinet. MHDSRIEP
The cause of death is still unknown although it is suspected that he died from Covid-19. The Zimbabwean Parliament was recently suspended due to two Legislators testing positive to the deadly Covid-19.
