Harare, Zimbabwe. (News of the South) – Service delivery remains key in luring more investors who can contribute to the economic growth, Big Time Strategic Group CEO has said.
Speaking at the Ease of Doing Business workshop on Tuesday in Harare, Big Time Strategic Group Chief Executive Mr Justice Maphosa said no investor is keen to invest in a country with poor service delivery.
“Let fix ourselves so that investors can come. Look at Robert Mugabe
Main Road, the road is very dirty and why are we allowing it to be
dirty. And who is going to come and invest on that street if it’s
dirty. It starts there, we need to clean ourselves and our mind so that investment can come in.
“A lot of things should be improved, I bring a lot of goods into the country because we got a business now, but clearance of goods takes a lot of time and some of the charges levied on the goods such as cars
are exorbitant.
“Electricity is also a challenge and every businesses needs electricity for power generation.
He said every citizen of Zimbabwe should participate in advertising Zimbabwe as the business investment centre.
“And generally advertising ourselves as Zimbabwe as a Zimbabwe for tourist destination called Zimbabwe for a business investment centre called Zimbabwe and that is what we need to need to do.
“And everywhere we go we preach that message that please people,
Zimbabwe is open for business investment.
