THE ARTISTS ON TOP OF THE GAME ALL SET UP FOR SAMA FETSIVAL UK 2016
London, England. – The long awaited and much talked about Southern African Music & Arts (S.A.M.A.) Festival UK is scheduled to kick off in London and Leicester this Easter weekend.
Billed the “ THIS IS IT Tour” it is packed with award winning Zimbabwean artists and has sent shockwaves beyond UK shores. Nationwide revellers and with some travelling from Europe will all converge on this Eastertide weekend.
According to tour promoters Y2K : “The enquiries have been overwhelming and we have sold out all advanced tickets although we expect the majority to pay at the door”.
Y2K can confirm that all artists have now safely arrived in UK. THIS IS IT Tour will feature Jah Prayzah & 3rd Generation, Winky D & Vigilance, Selmor Mtukudzi in combination with Tendai Manatsa backed by The Green Arrows and UK favourite son Tocky Vibes and haasati atanga kupera saka ma1. Mtukudzi and Manatsa crew have been in UK for over a week rehearsing, a sign that shows their commitment and seriousness about their business.
“They will be rocking, proper class acts that you cannot afford to miss” said Y2K Director Fred Matenga.
Y2K is therefore privileged and proud to be hosting the cream of Zimbabwe. When Jah Prayzah / Team Masoja meet Winky D a.k.a. The Ninja President / Gafa then you know it is all fireworks and cacophonous dance floor.
“Gafa rapindira! We advise people to come early otherwise you will miss out. The doors for both London and Leicester gigs will open at 19:30 hours with first act on stage at 21:15 hours. If you come with a mentality of a “late thing” then you will certainly miss out alright. The programme is very much on point so as to give all artists enough play time. We have been advertising since July 2015 and for those attending we hope you have done your homework to enjoy this absorbing experience”.
The gigs will kick off on 25/03/16 at Oasis, London Capital and then on 26/03/16 at Athena, Leicester. The venues are all luxurious and comfortable. London venue will provide a Zim style BBQ all night.
