80% of ZBC Employees tested positive for Covid-19

HARARE,Zimbabwe.(NewsoftheSouth)- At least 80 percent of Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation employees are Covid-19 positive based on tests conducted three weeks ago,News of the South reveals.
According to sources within the national broadcaster, employees were tested on the 28th of July 2020 but only a handful have been notified of their Covid-19 status.
“Almost three weeks with no Covid-19 results after testing, it boggles the mind considering that people need to know their results promptly such that they protect their loved ones as well as themselves.
“I heard the positive numbers are too many at Pockets Hill which has forced management to withhold Covid-19 results for some employees as they fear panic among employees. 80 percent of employees at pockets hill are Covid-19 positive and some of them kept coming to work after being confirmed positive,” said a reliable source.
Covid-19 has hit hard a number of institutions in the country and one wonders why management at the national broadcaster are keeping it a secret.
The Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Water, and Rural Resettlement is one department that was heavily hit by Covid-19.
