A Special Committee was set up to look into the resources required such as placards, banners, media engagement, logistics to ferry members to venues that the President will be when he attends the 2021 Climate and environment summit to be held in Glasgow.
The District’s members also unanimously passed a Conference Resolution that ZANU PF First Secretary and President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa shall be the Party’s sole Presidential Election candidate in the 2023 harmonised General plebiscite.
The Party’s members also welcomed the call for elections to a elect a new Executive as soon as is practically possible. However the Party’s members advised the District’s Executive to avoid any behaviour or shenanigans that may cause divisions before the President’s visit to the UK. Consequently, the members, having read Circular 10 of 2021 instructed the Executive to engage with the office of the National Secretary for Commissariat for further guidance on an election process best suited to the diaspora structures.
