ZANU PF Harare DCC4 Youth League today donated more than 60 litres of hand sanitisers to eight Police stations in Zone 4, a development which saw every station in Zone 4 receiving 5 to 10 litres of the sanitisers depending on station size.
The handover of hand sanitiners was done to the respective Officers in charge for the following stations; Mabvuku Station, Highlands Station, Borrowdale Station, Malbereign Station, Avondale Station, Marlborough Station and Rhodesville Police station.
Leading the initiative Zanu Pf DCC4 Secretary for Youth Affairs Cde Takura Madziya accompanied by DCC4 executives Cde Prudence Ngwarati Secretary for Finance, Cde Takudzwa MASHUMBA Secretary for Information and Cde Muhamad William Secretary for Lands.
Handing over the donation, Cde Madziya said that the gesture was motivated by President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s emphasis on the importance of practising hygiene as one of the measures to curb the spread of Covid-19.
“As the Zanu PF Harare DCC4 Youth League we realised that we have a very big role to play considering that our frontline workers (police officers) have limited access to the hand sanitisers considering they are always busy ensuring that lockdown regulations are followed as well as maintaining law, peace and order during these trying times of Covid-19 pandemic,” said Cde Madziya.
Assistant Inspector Ngwenya the officer in charge for Mabvuku police station applauded the DCC4 Youth League for their active role in fighting Covid-19 and also appreciated other stakeholders for their efforts in assisting the police force fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
The sanitizers donation is part of the ZANU PF National Youth League program initiated by Cde Tendai Chirau, Zanu Pf acting Deputy Secretary for Youth Affairs.
THE Zanu-PF Youth League last week handed over a donation of 5 000 litres of hand sanitisers among other items to President Emmerson Mnangagwa for the national COVID-19 fight.
