0 0A YOUNG mother from Kansas has given birth to three sets of twins in a little over two years.
“People just consider me a freak of nature when I tell them,” said20-year-old super mum Danesha Couch.
Couch delivered two boys 26 months ago. One of them died from complications of premature birth, but the survivor, Danarius, is a busy toddler.
“That was a pretty bad time,” Couch told the Huffington Post of her son’s death.
Fourteen months later, girl twins Delilah and Davina, now one year old, came along.
And last month, girls Dalanie and Darla were born. They just arrived home after three weeks in neonatal intensive care.

NEWBORNS: Dalanie and Darla are now out of hospital
While the odds are approximately 88,000 to one of having three sets of twins, according to a British study noted by WDAF, Couch’s odds may be much greater than that.
Couch apparently has a condition in which she releases more than one egg per month.
“So you have two eggs simultaneously coming down the tubes getting ready to be fertilised,” Dr Elizabeth Wickstrom of Shawnee Mission Medical Centre told the outlet.
Couch’s twins are all fraternal, meaning they are from two separate eggs being fertilised, not from an egg splitting.
According to The Huffington Post, race may have played a role in the unlikely occurrence, as black women are more likely than white and Asian women to have twins. And those who do have twins are more likely to do it again.
Couch is engaged to the father of the second and third set of twins, and they are planning their wedding for September.

Fiance Jeffrey Presler is an aquarium technician and also works at Gas-mart USA, according to his Facebook profile. Couch worked at Minitmart, according to her Facebook profile, but is now a full time mother.
“I love babies, but maybe in 10 to 15 years, when these ones are big enough to help,” she told Inside Edition.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the young family pay for nappies and baby formula as they have been denied benefits. So far, $1,840 has been raised.
‘I have tried to sign up for benefits and got denied … I try best i can as a mother but sometimes I need help and honestly I’m not to proud to ask,’ she wrote. – Voice
