Harare, Zimbabwe (News Of The South) – The launch of Cultural Week last Saturday at Glamis Stadium brought light to the Zimbabwean Culture with Memory Mandishona’s show of talent in the amazing wedding cakes displayed at her exhibition stand.
Making a good cake does not need one to travel abroad nor transact an expensive order but the amount of innovation and skill invested in the ingredients that help produce a perfect, fine looking and enticing wedding product.
During this era most women are increasingly embracing weddings that are held with cultural resemblance.
At first it was the Zambian Dress that took prominence at most weddings to both bride and the groom until in this very era where delicious cakes assorted in cultural designs are increasingly on demand.
While some people are for cultural diversity Memory Mandishona, a an event planner and caterer is one lady who is prospering in bring back cultural articulations in the wedding cakes she offers.
Part of her work as a baker sees her producing amazing cakes of high quality endowed with traditional huts, wild animals which ressembles Zimbabwe’s cultural setting in the yesteryear.
According to Mandishona art is a talent and skill that can be used to produce something amazing and this have allowed her work to find recognition both locally and abroad.
“ Art brings no limit to innovation and with it you can produce anything with amazing features and myself I decided to bring light to wedding cakes with a bit of cultural inclusion.”
Over the recent years only selective people are found with the proliferation skill to excel in the new form of baking and this has been a great achievement made by an entrepreneurial lady.
Business players, individuals and government officials kept surrounding Mandishona’s exhibition stand.
