Harare, Zimbabwe. (News of The South) – DESPITE the furore, noise, confusion, madness and all manner of vile regarding the Umbro deal, which has badly exposed ZIFA President Kamambo’s capture, the Warriors will not wear the English brand on Sunday when they clash against Congo at the National Sports Stadium.

Instead it will be the infamous Plan B, mooted in South Africa on Monday when the trio of Kamambo, Phelimon Machana and Joseph Mamutse decided to play it safe with Umbro’s dry jokes.

The Page can confirm that Zimbabwe will be putting on Lotto, whose red tracksuits the Warriors pulled when they came for that marketing stunt at 4 May on Thursday. The boys looked resplendent in red and the technical crew in gold as in the pictures.

The much awaited Umbro kit, which President Kamambo told the nation that it was coming last night did not arrive. Instead it was just a consignment of socks which further exposes the lack of cleanliness of the deal. Investigations into this deal that always had tale tale signs of being phony has established that a former Warriors and Dynamos striker, is the front and was crucial in roping Kamambo Permanent Assistant (you know who he is), who is the thinking half of ZIFA President’s brain.

The PA then frog marched Kamambo into agreeing and signing a three year contract…….off course, without the necessary due diligence which could’ve flushed out these Umbro vendors as unreliable. If, as is normal in business deals of this nature in Zimbabwe, ZIFA had gone to tender, this madness would have been avoided.

But then again there was the dangling $100K carrots……too good to resist for the new ZIFA Executive…..Kkkkkkkk now look where it has gotten us. Into a mess we could have avoided. Into a laughing stock we could have done without because these crooks are known. Even Cuthbert Dube knows that and that and two other local clubs here know, even Jonathan Mashingaidze knows….yes, he does.

Ironically Botswana who entered into the same Umbro deal, albeit with real guys from the English kit maker and suppliers wore theirs yesterday when losing to Angola 1-0 at home. Ko yedu iripi…..and the Zifa President had the guts to mock the journalists who are criticizing the deal, saying, “regai vanohukura vahukure because kuhukura kweimbwa hakutadzisi chitima kufamba…..”. Really?

Meanwhile all the members of the ZIFA assembly are gathered at the Crowne Plaza Monomotapa hotel for the much delayed Fifa induction, an exercise that has come three months late, during which time Kamambo and his crew have made more elementary mistakes borne out of ignorance.

Former Fifa Development Officer, Ashford Mamelodi will run the assembly through the ruler and perhaps assist them in knowing what the executive should do, what the secretariat does, what committees do, corporate governance, club licensing, constitution and the powers of Congress among others.

The induction had been scheduled for March 6-7 but was postponed to today, a postponement that took the scalp of the AGM that could have taken place today. Now the big Congress will take place next month.
