Harare, Zimbabwe. (News of The South) – It is true when global media institutions often describe the Afro-World as that continent associated with elements marked under sheer forces of backwardness and infused with vicious cycle of poverty.

This has nothing to do with those labeling the continent nor the stirring image created along such lines but the amount of inferiority which is afflicting the black Africans emanating from the way they perceive themselves.

On record Africa is presumed as the only continent around the globe known for being abundant in terms of resources, ranging from beauty of wonders, precious underground resources, conducive environment for ease of doing business.
In the midst of all the continent continues to sell nothing but the the news of being the most poorest around the globe yet none has ever realized how the continent have fallen prey to plundering and exploitation of resources by the developed world since time immemorial.

Tracing the footprints of the imbalance of trade between Africa and Europe from the era of legitimate commerce in western part of the continent going through colonisation and beyond actually depicts how the endowments of resources plundered so far subsequently spearheaded the establishment of the capitalist world.

It has been alleged that some companies and global initiatives were set in the wake of diamond proceeds generated by Cecile John Rhodes at the height of imperialism in Southern Africa.

According to Ngonidzashe Matsenga Chief Executive Officer of City Card alleges that it is not too late for Africa to realize the avenues which can be utililised to spearhead development despite being at the adverse of a myriad challenges.

“The gap between the living standards of people in the developing world and the developed nations is painstakingly too wide. Characterised by a battered public transport system, high unemployment and poor health conditions, Africa and Zimbabwe need to craft deliberate policies aimed at poverty alleviation and job creation to empower local people.”

In respect of the Zimbabwean economic landscape since the inception of the second republic under new leadership tremendous efforts have been put in place to spearhead a new stage of development at least by year 2030 where the country is expected to attain a middle class status.

“The Second Republic has set the country on a recovery path based on various growth and development initiatives. Government can at best create an enabling environment but it takes industry and the private sector to harness and translate the growth potentials into deliverables.”

“Vision 2030 is a plausible and realistic initiative and it is upon this and other motivation factors that City Cards Private Limited has established its own corporate vision.”

In the midst of policy implementation the public eye will be also projecting higher anticipations to see the socio-economic situation getting alleviated in physical form of change rather than idealism.
