Sponsorship Appeal from Note2etoN.
Harare. (News of The South) – Note2etoN is a Harare community choir that has become the first Zimbabwean choir to qualify for the prestigious World Choir Games (Championship Competition) 2018 to be held in Tshwane (Pretoria), South Africa. To this end, we are seeking financial sponsorship from you of USD 1000 or any amount you are free to part with on behalf of Betha Tsitsi Ndabambi a member of the choir to make this journey a success as it will cover her transport, accomodation, food and other logistics.
Background
Note2etoN is a community choir formed in 2016 through a diverse network of friends, colleagues and general members of the public as a group of people who love to sing and make music. Founded by Sabelo Nyoni-Maswaure and Kuda Nyemba, the choir has achieved many successes in the National Institute of Allied Arts (NIAA) Music Festival in both 2016 and 2017.
Banking on these successes, the choir set its eyes on achieving international ranking and status by qualifying for the 10th World Choir Games set to be held in Tshwane, South Africa in July 2018. We are registered to compete in the Championship Competition where we will rub shoulders with some of the best choirs in the world. We will be the first Zimbabwean choir ever to enter and qualify for the games in their 20-year history.
World Choir Games
The idea to create an event like the World Choir Games is based on the Olympic ideals, which aim to peacefully unify people and nations connected by song in a fair competition. This idea is supposed to inspire people to experience the power of interaction by singing together. Unrelated to artistic levels, this approach challenges personality and team spirit likewise. The World Choir Games are an international choir festival taking place every two years on different continents.
This idea of the World Choir Games is based on the personal experience of choir singers from all over the world who pick up and pass on human ideals through song. It contributes to people overcoming conflicts and setting, through their social interaction, an example for other people. Music is the common language of the world and serves as a link between cultures and nations.

Participation
The participation of Note2etoN requires a hefty financial commitment that we are seeking assistance for.
Membership is drawn from different socio-economic sectors and hence unable to self-finance the cost of participation. To that end, this appeal seeks your sponsorship in raising the EUR12,198.00 (approx. USD14,600.00) participation fee.
In return for sponsorship, we endeavour to endorse your organisation’s logo on our tour apparel.
