….Madinda or Takaringofa….
….as Muduhwa and Nkatha…..
IT will be a mountain to climb for the Bulawayo giants Highlanders to sail past their arch rivals rejuvenated side Dynamos fc as the Zimbabwean football giants clash in what looks to be titanic, enthralling and a high profile match set to be played this Sunday afternoon in a much waited and anticipated fully packed lively Barbourfields stadium.
MILTON MASHASHA Sports Reporter in Byo,Zimbabwe.

The two teams met a fortnight ago in the President’s Inauguration Cup and Dynamos came out victors with a 2-0 scoreline at the giant National Sports Stadium.Highlanders fielded a team made up entirely of futsal and inexperienced youthful crop who graduated from their developmental side early this season but they produced a saliant display despite losing 2-0 in Harare.

Highlanders will not afford to lose this match despite their poor show in their last four matches they played, they drew with Nichrut in Gweru, lost to Chicken inn (3-2),lost to Ngezi Platinum (2-1) both matches were played at Barbourfields. The fourth match was against the visitors in Harare(2-0).

The Highlanders technical team and the players would love to win this match for their fans who are expected to flock and fillup the Stadium to cheer and witness the fierce clash of the giants.

The Harare giants are buoyed up with their 2-0 victory against the host in the President’s Inauguration cup and their last 2-1 victory against Bulawayo City at Barbourfields recently. The home team Highlanders will be without their new acquisition Tinashe Makanda who got injured on his debut against Nichrut in Gweru.

Meanwhile, the Glamour boys will be missing their coach Lloyd Mutasa who is on national duty assignment assisting Sunday Chidzamba away against Congo Brazzaville on Sunday at Alphonse Massamba Debat Stadium in Brazzaville, Congo.Joseph “Shabba” Takaringofa
will stand in for Mutasa as the sole coach since his appointment as the assistant coach,Takaringofa was relieved of his duties as Mutare City coach after a string of poor results. It is yet to be seen whether he will manage to please the hard to please legion fans of Dynamos with a win against Madinda Ndlovu’s youthful side.

Takaringofa confirmed a clean bill of healthy for his men save for the suspended reliable center back Marshal Machazane and the injured utility player Obey Mwenahari who was stretched off the pitch during the match against Highlanders in the President’s Inauguration cup.

Takaringofa has got a pool of players who are expected to play a major role on the outcome of this encounter, players like their skipper Ocean Mushure,Godfrey Mukambi, slippery attacking midfielder Denver Mukamba, pint sized returnee Brett Amidu,Quality Kangadze and the lanky striker Kuda Kumwala who terrorized the Highlanders defence in their recent tie in Harare.

Dynamos, are also expected to unleash Supersport United of South Africa reject,Kingston Nkatha today,Nkatha who turns 33 years in few weeks to come was affloaded due to poor form, failing to hit the net for quite a number of matche. Nonetheless,Madinda must be warry of the physical hugely built striker who is strong both on air and on the ground.Peter Muduhwa and Chalton Siamalonga must be at their best to keep him under lock and key hence monitoring the movement of the likes of Mukamba and Kangadze otherwise they might be caught off guard.

Highlanders will be hoping that Aerial Sibanda will come out of his shell and be at his best to save them from those possible threats, sporadic attacks and bombardments from the Dembare attackers.Highlanders will need nothing besides a win to maintain their place in the reach for the top four slot whilst Dynamos will be under pressure to win and climb up the ladder away from the dead zone but they will have to fight teeth and nail to stop the dribbling wizadry Godfrey Makaruse, the speedy merchant Gabriel Nyoni and the hard running veteran Newman Sianchali. Also,Dynamos should expect the gritty barrier of the Highlanders duo defensive twin kingpins Adrian Silla and Patrick Ben Munsaka with young enterprising Nigel Makumbe expected to play a key role in the middle of the park,on a good day he is hand full and a tricky customer.

The match can go either way even though the absence of Lloyd Mutasa might have a negative impact on Dynamos’s ascendancy if things goes against Takaringofa’s plans.
