UK Home Secretary Priti Patel branded as lacking humanity.
LONDON, United Kingdom.(News of the South)-Home Secretary Priti Patel has branded Ben and Jerry’s ice cream as “overpriced junk food” after the company criticized her stance on cross-channel migrant crossings.

The firm told her to show more “humanity” adding that people cannot be illegal on Twitter.
The UK government said earlier this week that it is taking steps to make the illegal crossing being done on their Channel “unviable”.
On Tuesday, the official Ben and Jerry’s Twitter account posted tagging the Home Secretary telling her that the real crisis is the UK’s lack of humanity for people fleeing war, climate change and torture.
They also added that people cannot be regarded as illegal and they would not embark on dangerous journeys unless they had no choice.
The Home Office said that Priti was working day and night to end the small boat crossings even if it means upsetting the social media team for a brand of overpriced junk food, then so be it.
