Luanda, Angola. (News of The South) – Mike Pompeo, United States of America’s Secretary of State yesterday met with various Angolan delegates where they discussed diplomatic relations and business cooperations.
Pompeo, also participated in a round table with business leaders, and had a meeting with members of the American Diplomatic Mission in Angola.
“Started my visit to Angola with an inspiring discussion with local business owners. Dynamic women entrepreneurs are creating jobs and economic opportunities in their communities.
I also enjoyed meeting again with Angola’s minister of External Relations, Manuel Augusto. We are proud to work with our Angolan partners so as to expand our commercial ties and advance regional security,” said the Secretary of State.
On Sunday, Pompeo met with Senegalese President, Macky Sall and Foreign minister Amadou Ba where they discussed terrorism in the Sahel region and ways of deepening bilateral trade. Pompeo will today and tomorrow visit Ethiopia before returning to the United States.
