Tinoonga Mawere |Popular Zimbabwean musician Bob “Headmaster” Nyabinde has described the late legendary singer Oliver”Tuku” Mtukudzi as a humble and selfless figure who has left a lasting legacy in Zimbabwe and abroad.

Mtukudzi died in the capital Harare yesterday and social media platforms were inundated with condolences messages as the nation and the international community mourned the legend.

Nyabinde described Tuku as a humble, good-natured and likeable figure.

“We have been left poorer and I can say Tuku has left a lasting legacy.

However we have to celebrate the late iconic musician’s illustrious career.

We learnt a lot from Tuku- he was an approachable character,” said Nyabinde. “Tuku helped a lot of emerging and established musicians and we hope he will be accorded the respect he deserves,” said Nyabinde.
