Inspector Ndlovu then alerted his superiors Inspector Mudzingwa and Assistant inspector Chaza and went to the accussed’s place and effected arrest.
Mukonyerwa pleaded guilty to the offence and told the court that he got the bullets from Ndali post where he was on patrol the previous month. However he did not tell the court the intended use of the ammunition.
The court was told that Mukonyera was not authorised to possess the ammunition as he was a dog handler.
