0 1The two day “Tocky Aenda Nenyika” UK tour came to an end on Saturday night in Dunstable where a record number of people were turned away due to the a lack of enough security personel to mann the crowds at the Dunstable leisure centre.
Event organisers Phab Entertainment failed to hire enough security for the popular show same as the Leicester gig on Friday night.
Fans who were queing to get into the venue decided to push forward and all hell broke loose as the few security battled to contain the fans.
Police were called in to control the fans and the venue was closed up so no one else could enter although the hall was not full.
the man of the show Tocky arrived at the venue in the company of Taurai Cheteni with four vehicles and failed to drive through the gates into the car park behind the venue.
They decided to walk round the building and attempted to enter the venue via the fron entrance where fans were waiting. At the entrance Tocky was denied entry by the police who obviously did not know him.
News of The south Crew who were at the entrance explained to the police that he was the artist but the police were firm that no was else was allowed to enter the building.
There was drama when Cheteni tried to escort Tocky to a side entrance as excited fans ran around them and calling out Tocky`s name pulling him. They managed to get to a side door where a bouncer opened the door to let him in as fans pushed their way through to gain access into the building. A dozen overpowered the bouncer and gained free entry into the show which started around 0156.
The lack of coordination between the event organisers caused delay in Tocky entering the building. One of the promoters Phil Wakabikwa was seen inside at the entrance yet he could have coordinated with Cheteni that Tocky was arriving via front entrance and should have been at the front where the police were so he could inform the police as well as instruct them to give him access to the building.
In a post interview with Phil Wabatikwa on Sunday evening Wabatikwa said: “I am happy with the show everything was ok, it would have been nice if everyone had managed to get inside”.
Talented Tocky Vibes is still very much a hit in the UK and fans look forward to his return for another gig in a months time.
