BY DR MASIMBA MAVAZA

Again Temba Mliswa hits the social media space congesting it with lies and idiocy. There is a audio where Themba Mliswa issued gratuitous insults and abuse on Cde Monica Mutsvangwa and the newly appointed Spokesperson of the Zanu PF Party cde Chris Mutsvangwa. Mliswa’s utterances borders on statutory crime and further he can be sued for defamation.

Zimbabweans of mature status would have been left bewildered by Themba Mliswa’s unprovoked and irrational attacks.
First and foremost Mr Mliswa is a former Zanu PF member. He left the party presumably because he disagreed with its policies and practice. That was his democratic right to do. What the Norton MP does not have between his ears is the basic understanding that his political opponents have the equivalent rights to his, that is, to do as they so wish with and in their Zanu PF.

The appointment of Cde Mutsvangwa as Zanu PF ‘s spokesman is a matter domestic to Zanu PF and must be the least of concerns to opposition parties or to lone wolf Members of Parliament.
There is some basic education that is learnt childhood. It is that one does not peep through their neighbours’ window or sniff what they are cooking and then and deride that family’s food. Such is called the low practice of voyeurism. Mr Mliswa displayed distinct voyeuristic propensities in peeping into domestic Zanu PF practices to attack, by implication, not just Cde Mutsvangwa but the very authority which appointed him.

The complexion of Me Mliswa’s attack would have been different if the appointment has been to a public office. Cde Mutsvangwa has not been appointed to a public office. His appointment to the post is not just random. The appointmentbis linked to Zanu PF’s direction of travel and to its strategic objectives. The appointer considered capability and competency before he appointed Cde Mutsvangwa.

What Mr Mliswa can decently criticise or attack are government policies and government appointments, not Zanu PF’s domestic appontments . Even those attacks must be on policy not on person. If they are on person it must be demonstrated how private affairs of an individual affect tte public. Attacking a private appointment is a sad kick below the belt.

Temba insinuates that Mutsvangwa is panic forgetting that panic comes when there is a fear factor. Temba is the one who should be in APOPLEPTIC PANIC. And no amount of imaginary scandal mongering gossip about wartime events he was a toddler to will save him.
Mliswa has shown that he is not mentally stable and in his insanity he chose to go personal and attack cde Monica Mutsvangwa and her husband. This personal attack does not achieve anything but expose the ZANU-PF camouflage he has been cavorting under.

There are people with no backbones who are willing to be used. The case of Musengezi and his court challenge is a revealing and salutary reminder.
Musengezi’s case clearly showed the bird arrows aimed at the Executive by G40 political neophytes provoked an avalanche of howitzer volleys. Those who live in glass houses are being ruefully reminded not to throw stones.
The same elements engineered his Norton victory in 2018 Harmonized Elections. This was a prelude to concerted special operations aimed at destabilizing and eventually unseating the political order of the Second Republic. Regime change from within at play.

The whole shod and unholy enterprise has come to nought. If Temba has any wisdom he should tread with due care.
It is clear that Temba is not courageous but a is being handles by those who are aiming to remove the president. His self proclaimed emissary with Kasukuwere was not an accident but a well calculated operation.
Temba is trying to apply the same operation twice.

What happened in the process of removing Mugabe will Not be repeated.
Judge Mangota delivered a stinging judgment against the military roguery behind the 2019 deadly riots. We will discuss it later
Moreso when Temba raised his small fist against the might and enduring ZANU-PF Party brand he abdicated any rights to be part of ZANU PF.
Temba remained a lost sheep blurting all over trying to smuggle himself back to the fold.
ZANU PF is a brand which is not joined by the closeness you have to the leaders. Temba uses the ticket that he is a nephew of the president. The president has refused to give Temba audience for the past two years. Yet Temba sticks his nose in ZANU PF affairs claiming to be blessed by the president.
Temba boasts of being privy to what happened during the war which he seek to use in-order to exploit people.

As Temba was a child during the war his story he wants to share was given to him by senior army serving and retired generals so says Temba. It becomes clear that there is a section which feeds Temba with lies. He then ride on those lies to cause division within the party
Temba has become a security threat and he should be stopped and his handlers must be fished out.

Temba must know that being a muzukuru wava Mutasa or a claimed cousin of the president is not a passport to the zanu pf Member. So Temba can not hallucinate himself into the party. ZANU PF is not owned by individuals but by all who submit to the party constitution.
Over the years ZANU PF has become a brand. The brand which is moulded out of the sustained sacrifice of over a 100 000 Zimbabwean souls covering two decades of the Chimurenga-Impi yo Nkululeko War. The collective memory of national pain is enshrined in the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the National Heroes Acre.
Name-dropping of a sprinkling of Party notables as endorsement to a dubious political legitimacy will simply not wash. Temba is now at a point of no return and he needs deliverance.

Temba is a small brain given to erratic behavior, loose talk, unbridled ambition and reckless conduct. He is a danger to himself and to the party. He craves attention in misplaced hogging of the limelight all peppered with pettiness of a pretentious policing. He pursues pecuniary reward from dubious and shadowy foreign elements.

Temba’s Persistence along this course could soon provoke either a public divorce or the political consumption of unlucky ones from both dear family and close friends.
Now coming to what Temba is saying about cde Monica Mutsvangwa I will say nothing about the substance( or more accurately the lack thereof in the attack) . Refuting the allegations would dignify the acts of a man who has debased himself in voyeurism. He simply must be told, as I hereby do now, to cease and desist from the act of indecency.
Temba thrived in mud slinging and negative campaign.

Negative campaigning is the process of deliberately spreading negative information about someone or something to worsen the public image of the described. A colloquial, and somewhat more derogatory, term for the practice is mudslinging.

The fact that the Mutsvangwas remain silent does not mean that they arb e weak. They have realised that chasing after Tembas is like chasing wind. Temba himself is a mad man chasing nothing. He still believes that he is a game changer. He won the Norton seat because he was fully supported by some generals who wanted to weaken the direct support of ED.
Mutsvangwa was targeted because his proximity to the president. Temba was just the conduit .
mudslinging has a long tradition in politics.
While the tactic of attacking opponents with character assassinations and epithets goes back hundreds of years, the term “mudslinging” itself wasn’t coined until the late 1800s. Temba thinks that by throwing a lot of dirt and some of it will stick.” As a political term, “mudslinging” picked up steam after the War.

By calling a press conference to pile dirty on Mutsvangwa’s opens Temba to a civil suit. Mrs Mutsvangwa reserve the right to sue.
The social media is awash with the fake revelations thrown in the public domain by the independent Member of Parliament for Norton Temba Mliswa.

Temba Mliswa believes that stories matter, so he jumps to the public with unsubstantiated stories, but that all too often in our lives we operate from the perspective of hearing and knowing a single story — about a person, a situation, or perhaps a conflict. And that we operate from the perspective of the single story unconsciously. The risk of the single story, the one perspective, is that it can lead us to default assumptions, conclusions and decisions that may be incomplete, and may lead to misunderstanding. Operating from the context of a single story can prevent us from a more complex, nuanced view of a situation.

Fairness demands that the story must be two sided so that we make an informed decisions without bias.
There is a connection between single stories and the impact of power in our lives. In any situation, who tells the story, how and when, can impact situations greatly. The way we make sense of situations leads to narratives that may be harmful if left unexamined. Power enables some to define individuals and situations from a particular lens. It is therefore true that single stories have significant negative impact. They can rob people of their dignity, and emphasize how we are different rather than how we are similar.

The system of sharing one sided stories puts the country in a danger of being irrational gossip led nation. The behaviour of Temba Mliswa blinds us to recognize how much stories matter. Listening to Mliswa with his gossip and defamation chants one wonders at the calibre of our members of parliament.
Temba must stop this village gossip, it helps remind us of the importance of openness to others’ lived experiences.
There is in Latin what is called Audi alteram partem (or audiatur et altera pars) is a Latin phrase meaning “listen to the other side”, or “let the other side be heard as well”. It is the principle that no person should be judged without a fair hearing in which each party is given the opportunity to respond to the evidence against them. Wit, illustrating audi alteram partem.

“Audi alteram partem” is considered to be a principle of fundamental justice or equity or the principle of natural justice in most legal systems. This principle includes the rights of a party or his lawyers to confront the witnesses against him, to have a fair opportunity to challenge the evidence presented by the other party, to summon one’s own witnesses and to present evidence, and to have counsel, if necessary at public expense, in order to make one’s case properly. there is a violation of the principle of hearing both sides when the people are fed with one sided story purporting to be the truth.
The three main requirements of natural justice that must be met in every case are: adequate notice, fair hearing and no bias. Sometimes, all three of these concepts are grouped together as “the right to a fair hearing.” Temba Mliswa is a legislator who finds himself bankrupt of reason.

Essentially, natural justice requires that a person receive a fair and unbiased hearing before a decision is made that will negatively affect them. Listening to Temba Mliswa three things become very clear. The first one is that he believes he is the untouchable of this country. Two that he is the chief whip of the whole nation and finally that he believes in witchcraft himself.

While people with conditions like Temba’s that affect psychosis such as schizophrenia may appear to talk to themselves, this generally happens as a result of auditory hallucinations.
“It is not fair to ask of others what you are unwilling to do yourself.”

One should not use the social media to settle problems. Fairness is a lot more than we think. It is not only making sure that everyone is treated the same. It encourages, respect, responsibility, leadership, trust and a life that matters..

As a people Zimbabwe is not served well by heartless witch mongers superstitious leaders like Temba. Temba Mliswa must desist from the politics of gossip. Power is not found in relatives traditional healers or faith healers. Power is given by God.

We must stop fighting our wars in the social media. If Temba has a case against Mutsvangwa he must talk to him not talking to the social media.
