Tamari hit-maker Freddy Mazivanjira popularly known as Trinta is set for a major comeback early next year when he is expected to release his fifth album.
The talented reggae artist whose career had taken a dip in recent years confirmed to News of the South that he was working on his fifth album which saw him going into hibernation in recent years.
“I am still looking for a hit single that will be a title track for my forthcoming album which I believe will hit the streets next March,” said Trinta.
He added that he has not been releasing albums but decided to concentrate on singles and collaborations with some top musicians after his two albums Naturally High and Masiziva which failed to live to expectations in 2011.
“I have been in South Africa were I did two albums in 2011, but I want to admit that the two albums did not live to expectations as they failed to reach much of my fans due to poor circulation.
In the past year I have done collaborations with Decibel, Nox and Freeman,” said the Tamari hitmaker.
“I have been doing shows since my return earlier this year but the show in which I will be the supporting acts for Oliver mtukudzi and Jah Prayzah will mark the comeback of Honey vibes,” said Trinta.
Trinta has succeeded as an artist in working with other urban groove artists which saw him teaming up with the likes of Xtra Large, Cindy, Mapfumo, Blush of 2BG, Ngoni Kambarami, Nox, Tererai, Buffalo Solder in various projects.
His songs were featured in a couple of compilation albums ranging from “Urban Grooves Vol. 1”, “Machikichori Vol. 1”, “Number 1”, “Chigutiro” Phase 1 & 2, “Arise and Shine.
