Meet – Enhle Gebashe, 12-year-old South African born award winning – Fashion Designer, in 2018 at the age of 10, she founded Enhle Babes Couture, a children’s African print couture clothing brand.

The inspirational grade 7 pupil believes that “Fashion has always been a repetition of ideas, but what makes it new is the way you put it together; “To me clothes are like a good meal, a good movie, and great pieces of music.” And I have always believed that fashion is not only to make women more beautiful, but also to reassure them, give them confidence and that’s were my aspiration of being this great young fashion designer comes from to contribute to the beauty of women”, she said. Enhle is undeniably a goal getter and trailblazer, breaking boundaries in African fashion. She has sold her garments to kids in most African countries, USA, Asia and Europe.

My future plans are to pursue my education in art and fashion and “I want to empower women. I want people to be inspired by the women I dress; I would like to teach unemployed mothers and youth sewing skills so that they can be economically empowered”, she said.
