South Africa Announces Final Squad For Africa Cup Of Nations 2015
Johannesburg (News Of The South) – South Africa`s National football team coach Ephraim “Shakes” Mashaba on Tuesday named his final squad for the For the 2015 Africa Cup Of Nations to be held in Equatorial Guinea from January 17.
Many were shocked when Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Thulani Serero was left out of the final team.
South Africa have qualified for the Cup of Nations for the first time since 2008.
Mashaba who took over in the hot seat for Bafana Bafana in July has restored pride to a national team that slumped after conquering Africa in 1996.
He also managed to raise the team`s moral since the murder of Senzo Meyiwa during the qualifying campaign.
Equatorial Guinea the new hosts took over hosting the prestigious Africa Cup of Nations when Morrocco backed out due to Ebola fears.
