Inexplicable symbols appeared at various landmarks in the 2014 World Cup host nation Brazil’s main town of Rio de Janeiro, leaving many with slack jaws.
Mysterious signs, symbols and a series of unidentified messages were spotted around the World Cup host city. The usual tranquil Leme neighbourhood was the talk of Rio on Monday this week as the mountainside that overlooks the beach was enveloped with the giant message: WINNERTAKESEARTH.
On Tuesday morning, Copacabana neighbourhood was the centre of another mystery scenes as its central region was plastered with the same message.Tourists at the City hotel, the Copacabana Palace, jostled for possession to catch the glimpse of the strange scene.
As if this was not enough, the hill of Santa Marta was also struck Wednesday night.It had a gigantic circle with a football shape in the centre of the picture.
“I have lived in Rio since the day I was born and have never seen anything like it. I`m a little scare because I do not know what this symbol means,” said Carlos Perez, a Rio resident.
Mysterious hologram was seen in Rio’s Sugarloof hills, while Hackney Marshals was chiselled by a three metre high football on Monday. The New York City’s digital billboards were also invaded by the same texts.
