0 0Racism in football has been a traditional problem and this has led to several players across Europe, including Juventus veteran Gianluigi Buffon to call for stiffer measures against the perpetrators.
In April Juventus were fined for racism sentiments from their fans during a clash with AC Milan, while Lazio and Inter were also severely punished for the same crime.
The Juventus goal minder believes that action must be taken against those who chant especially the fans.
“We know we have the power to influence others. But is not up to us to educate people, the responsibility is not fair because many of us are young,” said Italian keeper.
“It is clear that, on issues related to fans and racist chanting, sometimes it is appropriate to send a message.”
“The line between teasing and denigrating is very thin.”
