Splendid isolation stinks like an old he goat
lt’s counter productive, it paralyses a nation
lt destroys the aspirations of the young and the old
lt creates a generation of beggars and migrants,
it impugns what it means to be human.
lt’s scary like diarrhoea stained with mucus and blood
Come on Zimbabwe, bring it on,
lt’s time to reverse that divorce token
lt’s time to make amends, it’s time to swallow the bitter pill
Re- engage the commonwealth, re-join the club
Stop watching from the terraces, dance with them
in the sunny weather.
You can’t make it alone, you belong.
That’s the truth, so sweet like a chocolate bar.
Pride doesn’t bring investments, it
makes a nation ebb into oblivion
lt make citizens stink poverty
The potential in you ‘House of Stones’,
must be the push factor to bury the hatchet,
to reverse the divorce token and live
the Commonwealth dream
Together you either sail or sink.
Two heads are better than one.
At the tunnel’s end, glowing light awaits
you on the Commonwealth dance floor.
