Harare, Zimbabwe. (News of The South) –
Acting on the current hoarding of commodities triggered by threats and speculation of shortages, RBZ has allocated additional US$30million a week for basic commodities importation with additional US$15 million on fuel and electricity.
The aim is that by Friday 30 September 2017 the market will be flooded with commodities especially cooking oil and prices are likely to go down.
People are urged not to waste their money hoarding commodities since there is not going to be any shortages as speculated. For example if you buy 40*2litres of cooking oil at the current inflated price of $5 each you are likely to lose $2 on each 2litre by next week since the price of each will go down to $3.
Zimbabweans are being urged to resist from following the bandwagon and save their hard earned money.
