All roads leads to Borrowdale Park Racecourse for the Original and Genuine Lotto Since (1999) Pinnacle Plate (85) Race to be held on Sunday September 7.
The race is on at 16:25pm.
A total of seven horses have been accepted for this 1000m long sprint event penciled in as race seven.
The winning connection will return back to the stables smiling after pocketing a fat purse of US $3 600 while the second runner to cross the finishing line will get $ 1 200. The third and fourth placed runners will get $750 and $450 respectively.
In lane one is Count The Music from the stable of Lisa Harris with jockey Randall Simmons on board. Coming into this event this runner is rated (82) a decent rated by horse racing standards.
This runner has been a consistent performer in sprint races managing five wins and eleven places from a total of twenty nine races.
Gentle Brook from the stable of Amy Bronkhorst is the highest rated horse at this year’s edition of the Pinnacle Plate Race at (84).
Jockey kalr Zechner will direct the proceeding from the saddle. While this horse has not performed well at races below 1500m the fact that she will carry a light weight of 59.5kgs puts her in a better position to fight for the honours.
Another horse in with a big shout out in this Pinnacle Plate is Young Antwun trained by Amy Bronkhorst.
Young Antwun has experienced jockey Quinton Riddle, a Champion jockey in his own right. The fact that Riddle has opted to ride this one speaks volumes about his potential.
This horse has competed five times, placed four times and won just once. Even though this colt is still green behind the ears in terms of game time when the stall gates open anything can happen.
Marumbala trained Lisa Harris is the ideal horse to spoil the party for many jockeys and punters on a good racing day.
This runner from the stable of Lisa Harris will be directed by jockey Nkululeko Sibanda.
From twenty one races she has won four times and placed ten times. Over the years this runner has proved to be strong over short distances. Could this be her lucky day? Let’s wait for the stall gates to open.

Fans are looking forward to a good race day after missing action for six week since 27 July when seasonal scarification break started.
