The Zimbabwe National Youth Service Graduates Association would like to express its deep concern over the unwarranted attack on our institutions of governance by the so called Ecumenical Church groups and the so called Civil Society of Zimbabwe on their released statement on Thursday 16th of August 2018. It is disheartening to note that when the President elect was preaching for peace and tolerance throughout his campaign period and after elections with the hope that all contestants would follow suit. Unfortunately these agents of darkness who purport to be the agents of light must be condemned in the strongest terms. As patriotic members of our society we are forced to issue this statement after realising that we are surrounded by these dubious organisations who dwell in pretence when they decided to side and praise hooliganism. They seem not to see the spirit of unity, peace and progress which was and is being inculcated by the  leadership amongst Zimbabweans. They seem to enjoy perpetuation  negativity by their barbarian sectorial membership in our society who are the supporters of the opposition.

Zimbabweans on the period starting 1st of July 2018 were afforded an opportunity to exercise their rights by choosing the leadership which they so wish to guide them for the next five years be it a councillor, MP upto the President. The environment was very  very conducive and afforded everyone an opportunity to exercise his or het right in a peaceful manner. During this period we witnessed only one party which was so arrogant and was propagating hate speech and violence throughout the campaign. This party was never condemned by these so called pretenders who today appear to be preaching the voice of reason. These agents of darkness are appearing to  negate the spirit of togetherness and try to plant in our society a dangerous culture of rewarding bad manners, evil talk and intentions as a norm. It is very very outrageous and uncalled for, for these organisations to stand in the court of public opinion vomiting such poisonous toxin attacking the very institutions which are striving to bring normalcy and peace in our society.

As Zimbabweans we appreciate a culture of tolerance, respect, selflessness, over and above party affiliations. We are disturbed by this untoward culture in this called freedom of expression, and  association. We are baffled by these uncultured organisations which mirrors the Sodom and Gomorrah culture which they want to clandestinely and stealthily inplant in our society. Noting that their intention is not favourable towards building peace but which seeks to create anarchy and despondency and undermining the basic tenets of peace in our society. We hereby condemn this untoward behaviour by the opposition of speaking evil, seeing evil and propagating violence.

It is disturbing at this critical point in time to try to play with people’s emotions. The principle of democracy is that the majority rules. It is very very painful to be defeated but is so let’s exercise a spirit of oneness hoping that in future if the losers strive even further they might win. An election is not an event but a process whereby persistence and perseverance will result in victory one day. We called upon all peace loving Zimbabweans to exercise a sense of reason and shun evil talk, incitement and hooliganism. Let’s always try in all our acts to inculcate a sense of love, peace and togetherness as people of one nation which yearns to see unity, peace, development and progress.

Let me again highlight that this reckless talk and incitement by these blood thirsty mongers who seem to encouraged hooliganism is a recipe for disaster in society’s stability. Let’s shun violence, hooliganism, incitement in all its forms. Let us denounce all evil schemes emanating from all malicious talk and build a peaceful society. Our Zimbabwe is the only God given country which we all wish to see it prosper and a home for everyone to enjoy.

Long live Zimbabwe
