Now they evict new farmers and reinstate former racist white farmers and now will compensate for land as well as improvements well and beyond much touted global compensation agreement!
Trying to underplay these reversals of land reclamations with smart Alec mumbo jumbo will not wash! Especially after wasting so much resources in farm mechanisation and command agriculture etc.
Now white farmers sitting in state land with offer letters can now regularise their tenure and get 99 year leases! So what the hell did we suffer for all these years?
What will happen to those resettled farmers to be evicted?, how will they feel! At the height of fast track we fought saying most new farmland occupiers were place holders while ownership remained in the state for a proper land reform allocation on merit.
We did not want the farms to remain unoccupied after eviction of racist farmers and also fulfill the land acquisition legislation.
What happened is so called shefus started targeting and allocating themselves productive farms and to their relatives, then failed to farm!!, because they did not get land on merit!
Deserving able farmers struggled to get prime land as corruption and nepotism took root!
Now land reform is a mess and not contributing to economic development and Lacoste faction resolution is reversal using high sounding verbiage.
Simple truth is CFU have been assured their racist organisation is poised for a major come back most of whom are Rhodesian military veterans nxaaa mhani!!
