Preparations for this year’s Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) provincial business awards gather momentum with the deadline for entries of nomination having lapsed Tuesday paving way for the selection.

In an interview this week ZNCC Manicaland regional manageress Perpetual Guwila said they had distributed nomination papers to their members as well as the business community who are not affiliated to ZNCC.

She further noted that after the lapse of the deadline last Friday they had now embarked on the selection criteria for members nominated in various business categories.

We are ready to host yet another edition of business awards. Times are hard and most organisations and industries are struggling, but they deserve recognition for their endurance.

Some nominations were sent out to our members and we hope many businesses submitted their nomination papers before the deadline last Friday.

The awards ceremony which is a platform where outstanding business people and organisations across Manicaland province are awarded for their achievements and contributions in various lines of business, has been slated for May 30 at Mutare Hall and the event starts at 6pm.

Last year Chipinge based transporter Winnie Marange emerged the provincial businesswoman of the year while chairman of Mbada Diamonds company Dr. Mhlanga was nominated businessman of the year.

The duo competed in the national awards and came out as first runners in the respective categories.
