Zimbabwe (News of The South) – Zimbabwean outspoken Poet and Academic Writer Mthulisi Ndlovu otherwise known as KhuluGatsheni/KingKG has found himself swimming in a vicious den with Unknown forces preying for his muse. The Bulawayo 25 year old is popularly known for his daring writings and expressions that most of his loyal followers find very befitting and relevant as they claim to be resembling the current status quo of the country’s socioeconomic and dwindling political system.
Ndlovu whose passion for impartial expressive literary works has become one of the latest victims of political coercion in his country. His recently Published book which consists of politically charged poetic memoirs is the talk of the moment. The book entitled POLITICKING(Lockdown Memoirs From Within) has attracted both great and hostile reception as the author has been receiving quite a number of threats not to spread and market the unapologetic literary material.
“Things started going south way before my book POLITICKING was Published. I used to share some snippets for marketing purposes hence it really hit hard on the dark forces.” Ndlovu said.
“Most of the content in the book is indeed daring and honestly inspired by true personal experiences as a patriotic youth. Things are not in order as most agents of propaganda may be purporting, we are suffering at the hands of merciless lords and our cries seem to be falling on deaf ears.” Ndlovu continued to lash on the system of governance that he claims is doing nothing to stop with atrocities and violence against ordinary civilians.
When asked on how he was feeling about the threats, the young author said he was never taken by surprise or shaken and the fact that he’s receiving threats simply proves that his works are hitting hard where it hurts the most. “I have always received these kind of threats from way back, to me reporting them to the law enforcement agencies was also a waste of time. Who can ever enforce people who are above the law? The democracy that we are so proud of is only applicable to the selected few.” He said.
Ndlovu’s book is doing well as he claims to be in the process of printing the second batch to meet the demand. “After all the book is doing so well, I can safely say this is one of my most successful projects in my writing career as one of the first copies was bought for a whooping 50usd by one of the respected men that have deemed my works sensible and relevant”. Ndlovu’s book POLITICKING is pegged at 10usd or equivalent. The publication comes after yet another successful attempt as he penned a 51page long epic poem which is entitled UBUNTU(The Raw Truth Unravelled).
“My greatest fear is to die having not done enough to redefine the term ‘normalcy’ which I believe has been mistaken to the direct opposite. Our people are lingering in great gloom and obscurity due to the unscrupulous individuals parading as leaders. We need servant leaders not mere politicians.” Ndlovu lamented.
Asked where he is now based, the young author chided and said, “hahaha I am somewhere under the sun reflecting and crafting more content! It is all that matters right? I think we are done here.”
