By HRH Princess Eugene Majuru
London, UK (News Of The South) – Zuva, a dedicated and accomplished nurse at North London NHS Foundation Trust, is celebrating a series of remarkable achievements that mark a significant milestone in her leadership and nursing career. In a ground-breaking moment, Zuva has become the first female of her ethnic background within the Trust to complete her CSO (Chief Security Officer) training, demonstrating her commitment to safety and security within the healthcare environment.
Adding to this triumph, Zuva is set to graduate in May from the prestigious Shuri Network Digital Fellowship, a program focused on empowering Black and minority ethnic individuals to become digital leaders in healthcare. This accomplishment has already paved the way for an exciting new chapter in her career, as Zuva embarks on the role of Digital Lead Nurse for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CYP) within the Trust.
“This feels like a dream come true,” says Zuva, reflecting on her recent successes. “Mental health nursing is a deeply rewarding field, and to have the opportunity to lead digital innovation in this area, especially for our young people, is an incredible privilege.”
Zuva’s dedication to mental health extends beyond her professional role. In late 2024, she organized a mental health event in the UK, showcasing her proactive approach to raising awareness and fostering community support for mental well-being. While her new role as Digital Lead Nurse will likely involve spearheading the integration of digital technologies to enhance mental health services for children and adolescents – potentially including telehealth, digital therapies, and data-driven care improvements – those who know Zuva suggest her impact will be far-reaching.
“Zuva is a natural leader and a passionate advocate,” comments a colleague. “Her achievements will undoubtedly inspire others from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue leadership roles in healthcare. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her involved in mentorship, community outreach, and even contributing to shaping future healthcare policy.”
Her involvement with the Shuri Network also hints at a potential interest in research and development, exploring innovative digital solutions to address the complex challenges within mental healthcare. Zuva’s journey is a powerful testament to the impact of dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to breaking barriers. As she steps into her new role, the North London NHS Foundation Trust and the wider healthcare community can look forward to the positive changes and innovative approaches she will undoubtedly bring to the field of child and adolescent mental health. Her early birthday is certainly marked by achievements that will resonate for years to come.
