Harare, Zimbabwe. (News of The South) – Transform Zim is on a whirlwind tour across the country meeting it’s members as it prepares itself for next month’s congress.

The opposition party’s leader Jacob Ngarivhume who has already been endorsed by the Harare province as the party’s president said he is obliged to meet his supporters even in the remote areas to show exemplary leadership.

“I would be glad to meet the members of party wherever they are so that I can hear their concerns,” said Ngarivhume at a house meeting held in Budiriro High Density suburb.

The Transform Zim leader who is also a principal of the MDC Alliance spoke at length on the path this country ought to take.

He said the country has been let down by a failed leadership and that time is nigh for the electorate to decide on the right leaders who can take this country forward.

“Our woes in this country has been exacerbated by a failed leadership and this coming elections provide us with an opportunity to elect right leaders who fear God so that this country can be prosperous,” the youthful leader said much to the applause of his supporters.
Speaking to this publication after the meeting, Ngarivhume said the fight for electoral reforms is not yet over.
“The call for elections should factor in that the electoral reforms have been put in place so that we don’t have disputed elections.

“As the MDC Alliance we have a committee that is making stern efforts to ensure that the electoral playing field is level for the coming elections,” added the opposition leader.

Reacting to the calls by his supporters to stand in as a presidential candidate, Transform Zim leader said he is still under the MDC Alliance and will only heed the call if the national executive of his party decides so.

“In regards to my party members supporting my candidature for the 2018 presidency it should be clear that I am still a principal of the MDC Alliance and will only follow the national executive’s directive if they decide otherwise,” responded Ngarivhume.
