GC – Grace Chinamora is a wife to the missing #Tajamuka activist Tonderai Chinamora
We have three children namely
• Tinotenda Ella Chinamora (17yrs)
• Yeukai Patience Chinamora (13yrs)
• Nyasha Praise Chinamora (7yrs)
NS – Tell us madam, what really happened, a lot has been happening to your family, the abductions and intimidation.
GC – My husband went missing after successfully masterminding a demonstration against corruption in ZANU PF government.
GC – Suspected State security agents on the night of the demonstration abducted Tajamuka/Sesjikile Chief campaigner, Silvanos Mudzvova (38), from his Crowborough home and from that night also my husband has never come back home.
GC – The gun-toting assailants also continued to visit our residence midnight looking for my husband who either is on the run or was abducted.
GC – On another incident around 1015pm, we heard the vehicle outside and I said to my kids go to bed. I heard footsteps approaching the door, they pounded the door with stones and I urgently opened to see two guys with black sheds. I knew they were looking for my husband and they asked if Tonderai was around and I said no. I could see their pistols from their jackets.
GC – They threatened me and my kids that if he did not return in a short space of time they were going to come back for our lives.
GC – This continued to happen for almost a week.
GC – For months now we had to abandon our matrimonial home for the safety of my family.
GC – My husband was Assistant to Mudzvova who was acting Tajamuka spokesperson following the incarceration of Promise Mkwananzi, who was arrested on charges of public violence.
GC – The Mugabe security agents threatened to round up and deal ruthlessly with all Tajamuka leaders.
GC – Not even sure if my husband is safe or not and if we’re one day going to see him.
