Nine Nabbed For Looting In the City Of Mzuzu

Harare, Zimbabwe (News of The South) – Police in Malawi’s city of Mzuzu have arrested nine peopl in connection with the looting and destruction of property during the June 20th demonstrations.
The Human Right Defenders Coalition (HRDC) organized the nationwide demonstrations aimed at forcing the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Chairperson Jane Ansah to resign for what they say was a gross mismanagement of the presidential election results.
With the nine arrested brings the total number of those nabbed in connection with the looting and destruction to eleven.
Several shops and businesses were either routed or destroyed by some thugs who took advantage of what could be described as a peaceful demonstrations to achieve their selfish ambitions.
