South African based, Nigerian multi-award-winning international gospel artist, Ikiri Lawrence is set to share stage with one of the world`s acclaimed music ministers, Juanita Bynum and Rev Jesse Jackson.
Lawrence who is popularly and affectionately known as ‘Mr Sweet Song’ has been roped in to perform at the Bayelsa state annual thanks giving service on the 2nd of November 2013 in Nigeria.
“I will be live in Nigeria, Bayelsa State, ministering with renowned gospel music minister; Juanita Bynum and Rev Jesse Jackson at the Bayelsa state annual thanks giving service on the 2nd of November 2013,” said Lawrence.
The soft spoken crooner who was recently nominated for the 2013 Nigerian Gospel Music awards in 2 Categories “Best Male rock” and “Artist in Diaspora” calls his Bayesa fans to join him.
“Come Join me all of you in Bayelsa state Nigeria as we lift up our hands in worship to a great God and thank Him specially for all He has done for us,” he said.
Ikiri Lawrence who was born in Nigeria to a musical family is an award winning international recording artist, songwriter, composer, arranger, producer, entrepreneur, and music director with two albums to his name, ‘Changing Levels’ (2008) and ‘Sincerity’ (2012).
Lawrence also holds a prestigious position at his Christ Embassy church and has several awards to his name some of which include “Outstanding Department of the Year” 2006, “Jingle of the Year” (2010), Producer, Scriptwriter and Presenter for “More Than Music”, Best Worship Song of the Year in the Loveworld Awards 2012.
