London is set to host one of the summer’s most anticipated music events as Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Davido announces his first major outdoor performance in the UK capital this summer. On Friday, 14 August 2026, the Grammy‑nominated artist will take centre stage at the historic Crystal Palace Bowl in South London for Davido & Friends Festival — a full‑day celebration of Afrobeats and global music culture.

The event marks a milestone moment in the artist’s illustrious international career and his only outdoor show in London this year. Davido personally confirmed the news on his social media platforms, describing the occasion as a unique experience for fans. “For the first time ever, I present to you Davido & Friends Festival,” he said. “We’re taking over the Crystal Palace Bowl on the 14th of August. Make sure you get your friends down.”

A Festival Setting at a Historic Venue

The Crystal Palace Bowl, an open‑air amphitheatre with roots stretching back to the 1960s, has been revitalised as part of the Palace Bowl Presents concert series, bringing a diverse lineup of international artists to London audiences throughout the summer. Davido’s headlining set will cap off the series on 14 August, with other scheduled performances at the venue in August including British and global acts across genres.

Tickets for Davido & Friends have generated buzz among fans and music industry watchers alike. According to organisers, pre‑sale tickets went live on 26 March 2026 at 10 a.m. GMT, with general sales opening on 27 March at the same time — reflecting strong demand for one of the season’s biggest live music dates.

Global Impact and Legacy

Davido has been instrumental in bringing Afrobeats to worldwide audiences, with a catalogue of hit albums and singles that have enjoyed global chart success. His announcement of a London open‑air headline event highlights both his growing international influence and the continued global appetite for African music.

Fans and music lovers from across the UK and beyond are expected to flock to Crystal Palace to experience what promises to be a landmark performance at one of London’s most iconic outdoor venues.
