The statistical model through which fair prices are calculated includes multiple variables on player performances (minutes, goals etc.) and characteristics (age, contract etc.), as well as data on employer clubs and potential recruiting ones.
The list is calculated on an econometric model by the research team from the analysis of over 1.500 paid transfers since 2010.
The criteria takes into account various factor such as personal characteristics of a player, their age, position and contract duration, as well as standing of their club and or international team based on their competition level and results.
Thus some older players such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo are likely to rank lower.
