Statement on Cde Mutodi by ZANU (PF) Youth League Mashonaland East

The Mashonaland East Youth league structure from the cell to the Provincial structure wishes to register its displeasure over unfortunate sentiments attributed to Cde Mutodi. The sentiments aimed at the Midlands state University and the structures of the Youth League .As the vanguard of the Party, we condemn the reckless sentiments by the Government Deputy Minister. His sentiments seeks to paint our academic institutions in bad light at a time when government is working hard to sprouse the image of our country.We have noted with sadness and concern the honourable Minister’s use of his twitter handle to denigrate government and party structures at a time when the country is calling for unity of purpose. As a League we uphold our academic institutions with high regard as they have always strived to offer an excellent standard of education which has produced professionals that have been providing unparalleled human resource within and beyond our borders.

We therefore call for his public withdrawal of his unfortunate statements denigrating MSU and the ZANU (PF), Youth League structures.Furthermore, we urge him to carry himself with an aura that befits his position as a government official and his position as a provincial member for ZANU (PF) Mashonaland East Province.
